CFETP

Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP)

The CFETP is a comprehensive, core training document that identifies life cycle education and training requirements, training support resources, and minimum core task requirements for individual specialties. It is intended to provide a clear career path for individuals and it makes career field training identifiable, measurable, and budget defensible. The CFETP consists of two parts, both of which are used by supervisors to plan, manage, and control training within the career field.

CFETPs are published or are being developed for each intelligence AFSC. CFETPs contain Career Path Flow Charts for use as a guide to assist personnel in their own career development and to allow them to maintain awareness of career progression requirements.

How to find your cfetp

  1. Go to "e-Pub's" located at https://www.e-publishing.af.mil/

  2. To the left of the blue search button type CFETPXXXXX (Type your AFSC In place of XXXXX)

  3. Do not use any spaces and click "search"

  4. Your requested CFETP will appear at the bottom of the window under Product Number

  5. Click on the link under Product Number and It will open up your requested file

  6. Save this as a PDF on your computer so you can review It later. (It Is a really long document)

  • Detailed description of duties and responsibilities

  • A skill and progression timeline chart

  • CCAF degree program

  • Skill level training Requirements

  • Training courses available for continuation/supplemental training

      • Air Force In-Residence Courses

  • List of technical references

  • Qualitative Requirements (Tasks)

NOTE: The skill and progression timeline chart contains a lot more details than what you see above. It will also Include; EPME, Upgrade Training, Professional Development, Job/Opportunities, Duty Titles, etc... It will give you a good Idea of what you should be doing and where you should be at different stages of your military career, In your AFSC.
